A MD Reader Has Good News About Patriot Walter Abbott

From: Paul Mendez (e-mail him)

Re: Joe Guzzardi’s Column: Maryland Gov. O’Malley Jails Immigration Reform Patriot

VDARE.COM readers know the sad case of patriot Walter Abbott who was arrested by order of Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley for speaking out—and making issuing ill-advised threats—about illegal immigration’s devastating impact on his livelihood.

Good news—Walter has been released from home detention! [Man who threatened O’Malley’s life off home detention, under restrictions, by Jason Flanagan, The Examiner May 21, 2008]

The moral support Abbott received from Guzzardi’s column and the dozens of VDARE.COM readers who e-mailed him their kind thoughts helped Walter survive his ordeal. I don’t know if he could have made it otherwise.

Thanks for getting Walter's story out.
