Diversity Is Strength! It’s Also…The Afghan Disengagement Disaster

The Washington Free Beacon’s Andrew Stiles recently posted a daring (for Conservatism Inc.) story pointing out that the Afghanistan disengagement disaster was engineered by “an impressive array of female and BIPOC officials” [American Triumph: The Most Inclusive National Embarrassment in History, August 16, 2021 (Links added)]. Conspicuously missing from the “array” as pictured: white gentile males a.k.a. the Americans who do most of the actual fighting and dying.

Top Row, from left to right: Alejandro Mayorkas, Kamala Harris, Avril Haines, Lloyd Austin

Bottom Row, from left to right:  Linda Thomas-Greenfield, Victoria Nuland, Wendy Sherman, Jen Psaki

Middle row: Anonymous Afghan women, and an equally anonymous, but  probably white male helicopter

This is a consequence of the Democrat voter base tipping decisively away from white America.

But, as I argued at the time of the 2018 Kavanaugh Incursion (which was like the Jan. 6 Mostly Peaceful Protest but supported by the Ruling Class), this “array” does also mean systematically poorer decisions, especially under pressure.

Stiles cited 10 examples (not all pictured):

  • Vice President Kamala Harris

(“a female BIPOC of Tamil Indian and Afro-Jamaican descent…also in charge of the Biden administration's failed efforts to secure the southern border”).

  • Harris's chief spokeswoman, Symone Sanders

 (“also a prominent BIPOC”).

(“the first African American to serve in that position and the first to preside over a military defeat of such extraordinary magnitude”)

(“the first woman to oversee an epic intelligence failure after U.S. spy agencies estimated the Taliban would overrun Kabul within 90 days of the U.S. withdrawal. It happened in 72 hours.”)

(“the former director of EMILY's List who served as lead negotiator for the Iran nuclear deal.”)

(“prepared at Choate Rosemary Hall, graduated from Brown University, and served as a nonresident fellow at the Brookings Institution. She is also a woman who has defended Chinese propaganda.”)

  • Linda Thomas-Greenfield, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations

(“provided invaluable representation as a person of color with a vagina.”)

  • White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki

(“In addition to being a female social media influencer, Psaki is also a proud member of the underrepresented Ginger-American community”). [VDARE.com Editor Peter Brimelow approves!]

  • Alejandro Mayorkas, Secretary of Homeland Security

(“a critical voice from the Latinx community as he oversaw the administration's efforts to provide visas to military interpreters and other Afghan refugees”)

Mayorkas, of course, is not merely “Latinx” but also an immigrant—and Jewish. Indeed, a noticeable omission from Styles’ list of major players is Wendy Sherman’s superior, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, right, presumably a major player but whose unmentionable claim to being “inclusive” would have to be that he is also Jewish.

In fact, four of Styles’ list of ten (Haines, Sherman, Nuland, Mayorkas) are Jewish, as is Kamala Harris’ “First Gentleman” husband, Douglas Emhoff.) This is remarkable given the relatively low Jewish presence in America (generally estimated at just 2-3%). But it’s less surprising given the ethnic polarization of American politics, especially acute among Jews, which means that every recent Democrat Administration is effectively a Minority Occupation Government.

Of course, there’s a limit to how daring Conservatism Inc. can be.

What this means is that key decision-making positions are held by people who are, stereotypically, governed by emotion rather than by reason: women, black people, Jewish people, and, of course, a senile white, male chairman of the board. Only a lack of careful thinking could have failed to predict, and make contingency plans for, how appalling and cowardly the Afghan army would be, how quickly the Taliban take back the country, how overwhelmed Kabul Airport would become, and how probable a suicide attack upon it would be

As I have previously reported, reasoned thinking—although, note carefully,  found in both sexes and in all races—is disproportionately a white male trait.

British psychologist Sir Simon Baron-Cohen (yes! —related to that Baron-Cohen!) has demonstrated that there are fundamental differences between the stereotypical male and female brain.

The “extreme male brain” is extremely high in “systematizing.” It is focused on logic, reason, order, hierarchy and with making sense of the world accurately. Effectively autistic, it is extremely low in “empathy”—that is, caring about the feelings of others, and being interested in and able to read external signals of internal emotions.

The extreme female brain is exactly the opposite. It is low in systematizing and high in “empathy.” The result is that females are far more interested in equality, in making sure nobody gets hurt, and in the feelings of others [The extreme male brain theory of autism, by Simon Baron-Cohen, Trends in Cognitive Sciences, 2002].

In other words, women—such as Kamala Harris, who may well be de facto president, Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman (author of  How I Learned to Embrace Power as a Woman in Washington, Politico, September 6, 2018) and Deputy Secretary of Defense Kathleen Hicks—are less interested in the objective truth, less logical, and more willing to put ideals like “equality” above the truth and less able to coldly reason.

This might make them “see the best in people.” But taken to an extreme, “hyper-empathy” means that you over-read social signals, leading you to be paranoid about people’s motives [Discussed in Mentalism and mechanism, by C. Badcock, Human Nature And Social Values, 2003].

In other words, “Republicans are evil and everything they suggest about Afghanistan must be wrong!”

Which is made even worse by the fact that women are more neurotic than men. They experience negative feelings more strongly. (A good source: Personality: What Makes You the Way You Are, by Daniel Nettle). This makes them much likely to feel socially anxious, more conformist. And they make decisions—sometimes poor—accordingly.

Such as rigidly sticking to a deadline to avoid bad publicity.

As I also reported, African-Americans not only have a lower average IQ than whites, they have a different modal personality. Their understanding of what is “fair” appears to be quite limited. Being lower in Agreeableness, and thus higher in a sense of entitlement, they are more likely to become overwhelmed by feelings of things not being fair. According to one study:

“. . . black subjects perceived more unfairness operating in the situations than white subjects, and they saw the promoted employee as less qualified than white subjects did. As expected, black subjects perceived the white employee’s promotion over the black employee as the most unfair while white subjects saw no difference among the situations.”

[Racial and Gender Differences in Perceptions of Fairness, by M. Sherman et al., Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1983].

In other words, blacks are more likely than whites to be overwhelmed by very strong feelings—especially unfairness—these being inconsistent with being able to calmly reason.

As J. Philippe Rushton noted in Race, Evolution and Behavior, blacks are also higher in many negative emotions such as anger. This is highly relevant when Lloyd Austin, who is black, is Secretary of Defense, and Kamala Harris, who is half black, is VP.

They are saying, in effect: “We’ll show those evil, White Supremacist Republicans we’re a strong government. We won’t make a tactical policy change!”

Four of Styles’ list are Jews. Jews are, on average less mentally stable than Whites, though their much higher IQ—112, compared to 100 for Whites—may dilute many of the consequences of this[Natural History of Ashkenazi Intelligence, by  Gregory Cochran , Jason Hardy  and Henry Harpending, Journal of Biosocial Science, June 17, 2005]. Ashkenazi Jews have significantly elevated levels of bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, both of which can make people paranoid [Genome-Wide Association Study of Schizophrenia in Ashkenazi Jews, by Fernando Goes et al., American Journal of Medical Genetics, 2015] and thus make them act in a less rational fashion—perhaps paranoid about poor publicity.

If Jews are higher in these pathologies as they exist at extremes of a spectrum (especially with regard to schizophrenia according to Nettle’s Personality), the average Jewish person will be, in a sense, slightly less rational.

And finally we have Comrade Josef Bidenko himself. The Washington Examiner’s Styles cruelly says he “brings a diverse perspective to his administration by representing a community—near-octogenarians in cognitive decline—that is often underrepresented at the highest levels of government and in corporate America, albeit for obvious reasons.” Biden is surely comparable in his senility to Konstantin Chernenko (1911-1985), the senile (penultimate and probably merely nominal) Soviet leader between 1984 and 1985.

The Soviet Union, of course, fell apart a mere six years later.

Dementia, infamously, makes people not merely forgetful but emotional and irrational. According to studies, they become aggressive, unreasonable, disinhibited and prone to outbursts [Behavioral disturbances in dementia, By Franz Müller-Spahn, Dialogues in Clinical Neuroscience, 2003]. In effect, they become child-like.

So our unspeakably disastrous Afghanistan policy is being prosecuted by non-Whites, women and an overgrown White child. Based on the evidence of how the modal personality of such people is less rational than that of those who have, overwhelmingly, previously been in charge of our policies, we cannot expect things to go well.

Let us hope they don’t get any worse.
