The CBS/AP headline gloats: Michael Slager indicted in slaying of Walter Scott, [no byline, June 8, 2015]

But of course this Main Stream Media story does not even attempt to answer basic questions in the case of white North Charleston SC police officer Michael Slager, target of yet another post-American lynch mob after he shot and killed fleeing black lowlife Walter Scott on April 4.

Such as:

• Why was Slager fired before being able to defend himself in court?
• Why has Slager been held without bail in solitary confinement for over two months?

This is extraordinary, even in murder cases. Has Slager’s lawyer even sought bond for him? Will he seek bond?

• Has Mrs. Slager (white guys get married), reportedly eight months pregnant at the time of the shooting, given birth? Has Slager been allowed to see his child?

Nearly a month ago, the Daily Mail reported 'He has to watch his back... there's a lot of angry men in there - black and white,' reveals released prisoner in jail with accused killer South Carolina cop, who is banned from seeing newborn baby due any day [by Shekhar Bhatia , April 13, 2015].

Patrol officer Michael Slager will be refused the right to hold the baby which his wife Jamie is set to give birth to in a few weeks.

He is only granted video access to his eight and a half month's pregnant wife and an officer stands outside the booth whenever he talks to his family.

They are not allowed to spend any time together and contact is via video screens with headphones at the Charleston County jail.

But the baby will not be able to enter the South Carolina prison….

Major Eric Watson of the Charleston County Sheriff's Office told Daily Mail Online: 'He is treated just like any other prisoner, except for being in protective custody.

'His baby won't be coming to the prison and he will not be allowed to see the child. It could be several months before he does.

'His attorney can apply for the baby to be brought to the jail if he wants.'

What has happened since then? Has Slager seen his baby? The MSM isn’t asking—and Slager’s lawyer isn’t saying.

• What exactly has Slager been charged with?

Slager’s lawyer is Andy Savage. (In an act of egregious misconduct, Slager’s first attorney, David Aylor, publicly ditched him when he saw that the political climate didn’t look so good for his client). Savage’s office sent me the following statement late Monday morning:

Good morning,

We were informed by the Solicitor that the Grand Jury has indicted Michael Slager on the charge of murder. We do not know what other charge(s) (if any) the GJ considered. We have yet to be provided with the Discovery (state’s investigation) material that we requested some time ago so we remain at a disadvantage in addressing any questions at this time. The GJ is a formal step, but just another step in the criminal process. Until we have an opportunity to fully evaluate the State’s case and to compare it with our own investigation we will not be commenting on any aspect of the case.

“Murder? An aspect of the prosecution of Michael Slager that has enjoyed MSM acclaim has been his being charged with “first-degree murder.” (Definition: Any intentional murder that is willful and premeditated with malice aforethought.).

(In fact, South Carolina’s statute on homicide doesn’t contain the words “First Degree Murder”, but just says “Murder” with aggravating and mitigating circumstances. [Title 16 – Crimes and Offenses, Ch. 3, Offenses Against the Person, ARTICLE 1: Homicide]. Still, numerous MSM sources are using that term).

An argument can possibly be made for charging Slager with manslaughter (Definition: “unlawful killing of another without malice, express or implied”) or involuntary manslaughter, which would require a showing of “criminal negligence.” But no argument supports a Murder One charge. (Indeed, a stronger argument can be made for no charge, as a retired lawman did in a letter to VDARE.com, because Scott was not simply fleeing, but technically escaping from custody.)

So which is it? At press time, none of my calls have been returned.

To quote the great Ann Coulter:

This is what I loathe about lawyers. They refuse to let their clients talk—in order to save the perfect case for trial. But in big public cases like these, that strategy doesn’t work. Their clients are left to twist in the wind for six months, and, by the time the trial comes around, the guy’s life is ruined anyway.

This is my best attempt to reconstruct what happened: Officer Slager encountered Walter Scott when the latter was driving an apparently stolen car with a broken tail light. (The authorities have not yet clarified the status of the car.) While Slager called in a check on the vehicle and its driver, Scott ran away. (There was a warrant out for his arrest for unpaid child support, he’d been in and out of jail at least ten times plus other brushes with the law, and didn’t want to go back.) Slager pursued Scott, who kept escalating matters by repeatedly resisting arrest and assaulting the officer. At some point, Scott apparently shot Officer Slager with the latter’s TASER. Slager tried to regain control of the TASER, but Scott forced it out of the former’s hand, causing it to fly to the ground, and ran again. Officer Slager drew his service weapon, and fired eight times at the fleeing prisoner, hitting him three times in the back, once in the buttocks, and once in the ear. Scott died at the scene.

Black (Hispanic?) passerby Feidin Santana videotaped what he saw of the incident.

The MSM then butchered the Santana videotape, a la TV station KTLA in the Rodney King case, to make it seem as if Officer Slager had slaughtered Scott in cold blood. Thus CNN reversed the order, showing Scott running and Office Slager shooting him first, and then tacking on Scott’s assaults at the end. Other outlets cut everything but the shooting, while lying and saying that the video was “unedited.”

For example:

The Post & Courier claims at the beginning of this 3:06 version, “The following contains unedited, graphic footage of the April 4, 2015, shooting of Walter Scott.” This version has only the shooting and the immediate aftermath. It doesn’t show Scott fighting with Officer Slager on the ground, or standing up.

The linked video is scrambled out of order. It opens with Slager shooting Scott, and later shows the second scuffle, where Scott grabbed what appears to be Scott’s TASER, and it flies away, just before Slager shoots Scott. It doesn’t show the previous struggle on the ground at all.

The MSM devoted a few days to saturation coverage of the case and then, with Slager fired, threatened with a murder charge, and held without bail, it moved on in search of other white men whose lives they could destroy.

In default of returned phone calls, I will Fisk the unsigned AP piece on Monday’s indictment as an example of MSM manipulation (links in original):

The shooting rekindled the ongoing national debate about the treatment of black suspects at the hands of white officers.

And what “debate” might that be? There has never been any “national debate about the treatment of black suspects at the hands of white officers.” There is simply a war on white policeman, on behalf of black (and more recently, brown) criminals.

What the AP report was talking about, in a cutesy fashion, was the MSM campaign to get Officer Darren Wilson and his family murdered, or failing that, Wilson railroaded into prison for doing his job and refusing to die at the hands of black would-be murderer Michael Brown. Since then, the MSM has been hunting white policemen non-stop.

AP:

The cellphone video added fuel to the national debate about race and aggressive police tactics that intensified in August with the shooting death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. In that case, there was no video of the shooting and Officer Darren Wilson was not indicted.

Note the despicable implication that, had there only been a video, Darren Wilson would have been indicted for murder.

AP:

In Baltimore, six officers were indicted in the death of Freddie Gray, who was critically injured during an arrest there and later died at a hospital.

In South Carolina, prosecutors have sought felony charges against Slager and two other officers in the past year for shooting at unarmed black men following traffic stops. Two of the men were killed, while a third was seriously injured.

None of the cases has gone to trial.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but it sure sounds as if the AP propagandist is implying that Michael Slager had shot at “unarmed black men following traffic stops” previous to the Scott incident.

As for the Freddie Gray incident, the AP propagandist is exploiting a legal atrocity, and piling on.

It’s amazing what a little vague language can do. The AP propagandist is forcing every case he can find in which a black man died in an incident with policemen (including black policemen, though he doesn’t mention that), forcing them into the racist, anti-police narrative, fabricating a phony “pattern” of white cops murdering “unarmed black men.”

I repeat my earlier conclusion: Slager is not simply being lynched, which at least implies informal mob error—he is being crucified, because legal authorities are knowingly involved.
