Boston City Councilor-At-Large Althea Garrison recently lost her seat due in no small part to the quiet opposition of the local political and media establishment. [Wu, Essaibi-George, Flaherty hold council seats, Garrison ousted; recount sought over 10-vote margin for last at-large seat, by Sean Phillip Cotter, Boston Herald, November 5, 2019]

Garrison is a longtime political candidate who was born a man and at some point transitioned into being a woman. [Doing It 'Her Way': Althea Garrison Finds Herself On The Verge Of Public Office Again, by Quincy Walters, WBUR, September 13, 2018] In fact, Garrison was outed by Eric Fehrnstrom, a longtime aide to Never-Trumper Mitt Romney, back in 1992 well before transgenderism became enshrined as a civil right. You would think that the political and media establishment might celebrate a black transgender candidate who was publicly outed by a Republican operative. However, Garrison committed the political sins of openly supporting President Trump, opposing Boston’s sanctuary policies, and supporting the Boston Police during their ugly confrontations with local antifa militants. Unfortunately, we can’t celebrate diversity that doesn’t support the Narrative.

Althea Garrison was the only genuine patriot on the Boston City Council, and many of us are sorry to see her go. But we also knew that she would never last.
