Upwards of 70,000 illegal aliens and perhaps more slipped past border agents in October, the first month of fiscal 2022. The exact figure is unclear, with reports ranging from 64,000 to 86,000. Whatever that number, the minimum is at least 2,000 illegals per day, few if any of whom will be deported if they are caught, even if the GOP retakes Capitol Hill today. Agents caught more than 200,000 who tried to jump the border.

Citing a source inside the Department of Homeland Security, the Daily Caller’s Jennie Taer reported 66,000 gotaways.

“I believe that 66,000 is the most getaways that we’ve ever had,” National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd told Taer. But “several other outlets reported gotaway numbers, including Fox News with at least 64,000, and Townhall with at least 86,000 [Record Number Of Illegal Migrants Escaped From Border Patrol In October, by Jennie Taer, Daily Caller, November 7, 2022].

A source with U.S. Customs and Border Protection told Fox News’s Bill Melugin that agents apprehended 205,000 illegals, an unofficial number that does not include those stopped at ports of entry. That monthly number has been running at about 20,000.

CBP has not released October’s border numbers.

My estimate for October: 230,000.

If the Stupid Party wins today, we’ll find out just how stupid it is if its leaders don’t see that impeaching Traitor Joe Biden might be the only way to save the country.
