Mexican serial killer Rodney James Alcala has just died of natural causes in prison, rather than being executed. He was actually under sentence of death, but the pro-Murder Lobby, aka "death penalty opponents" has well-funded lawyers and helpful Kritarchs to maintain that a murder victim has no rights that criminal justice system is bound to respect.

Wikipedia says that

Rodney James Alcala (born Rodrigo Jacques Alcala Buquor; August 23, 1943 – July 24, 2021) was an American serial killer and rapist who was sentenced to death in California for five murders committed in that state between 1977 and 1979, and received an additional sentence of 25 years to life after pleading guilty to two homicides committed in New York in 1971 and 1977. Alcala's true number of victims remains unknown, and could be much higher.

It would be more accurate to describe him as a Mexican serial killer, born to Mexican parents and raised in Mexico, who murdered Americans--specifically, white American women and girls.

Rodney Alcala was born Rodrigo Jacques Alcala Buquor in San Antonio, Texas, to a Mexican-American couple, Raoul Alcala Buquor and Anna Maria Gutierrez. In 1951, Alcala's father moved the family to Mexico, then abandoned them three years later. In 1954, when Alcala was about 11 years old, his mother moved him and his two sisters to suburban Los Angeles.

One reason they could do that: the young Alcala had a birth certificate saying he was born in America. It's possible that his Mexican parents also somehow had American birth certificates, but the fact that Wikipedia refers to them as a Mexican-American couple isn't evidence.

And while it’s considered outrageous to refer to a Mexican-American as a Mexican (see the case of Judge Curiel, who we heard over and over was "born in Indiana") but  whether it's true or not that the air of Indiana is too pure to allow a Mexican to be born there, it's clear that Alcala’s parents thought they were Mexicans.

Wikipedia: Alcala’s first known crime was when he raped an 8-year old white girl and beat her with a metal bar. She survived, and we know she's a white girl because she's willing to talk about the case herself [Woman Who Survived Attack by 'Dating Game Killer' at Age 8 Says: 'I Didn't Know to Fear People', by Christine Pelisek, People, January 08, 2021.]

His next victim was also a white girl: 12 year old Robin Samsoe, below. She died in June of 1979.

More victims:

Jill Barcomb, 18, a New York runaway found "rolled up like a ball" in a Los Angeles ravine in 1977, and originally thought to have been a victim of the Hillside Strangler; Georgia Wixted, 27, bludgeoned in her Malibu apartment in 1977; Charlotte Lamb, 31, raped, strangled, and left in the laundry room of an El Segundo apartment complex in 1978; and Jill Parenteau, 21, killed in her Burbank apartment in 1979.

These victims were also white women. He was in New York in the 70s, apparently killing, among unknown others, Cornelia Crilley, a 23-year-old TWA flight attendant, and Ellen Jane Hover, 23.  [ CALIFORNIA ‘DEVIL’ MAY BE NYC’S TOP SERIAL KILLER , by Brad Hamilton, NY Post, January 4, 2009]

They were white, too. I can't find that he victimized any fellow minorities, just white women.

Let me know if you find any MSM stories alluding to THAT aspect of the crime.
