Jamie Satterfield reports in Thursday's Knoxville News-Sentinel that Judge Richard Baumgartner will resign and admit an addiction that led him to buy prescription drugs from a felon under his legal authority.

Judge Baumgartner will resign immediately but will seek judicial diversion from Special Judge Kerry Blackwood as part of a plea deal.
