In his viral thread about “The Twitter Files,” which deals with the platform’s suppressing the Hunter Biden laptop story, Matt Taibbi inadvertently disclosed just how dangerous the Indian CEO virus is to free speech. Taibbi revealed that Indian import Vijaya Gadde played a key role in the suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story.
CEO Jack Dorsey wasn’t minding the store. Gadde, Twitter’s legal chief, was in charge, as Taibbi tweets:
“The decision was made at the highest levels of the company, but without the knowledge of CEO Jack Dorsey, with former head of legal, policy and trust Vijaya Gadde playing a key role,”
The real import of the Taibbi revelation is, again, that Third World immigrants, particularly Indians, don’t much care for American customs, like free speech in the public square, as Agrawal confessed:
Our role is not to be bound by the First Amendment… focus[ing] less on thinking about free speech, but thinking about how the times have changed.
That view will spread as more of these grasping, power-mad totalitarians take positions of power.
Taibbi’s report suggests that Musk seems committed to exposing just how tenacious Twitter was in suppressing conservatives. We’ll see.
