Chicago historian Rick Perlstein snaps a picture of the ominous-looking Obama library under construction and opines, “44 will not age well, I think.”

That said, a lot of Chicago architecture looks better in July than in March, so I suppose there’s a chance it will come out okay under a blue sky.

In contrast, here’s the human-scale Nixon Library in Orange County, CA:

I went to a wedding there in 2021 and it’s a nice place for a reception that doesn’t overwhelm the happy couple with The Man, the Myth, the Magnificence.
