Monitoring the news over Christmas Week tends to be very annoying. War on Christmas items are distressing for those who care about the tradition: 2023 WAR ON CHRISTMAS: They Played Their Farm Team. They’ll Be Back.

But this year the item which did most damage to my blood pressure was an exceptionally obtuse article from USA Today: Biden fast-tracks work authorization for migrants who cross legally, by Lauren Villagran, December 31, 2023.

This poorly researched slab of propaganda starts with an importantly tendentious misstatement (aka lie):

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services recently set up a pre-registration program … to more quickly process work permits for migrants who present at the border using the CBP One app appointment system, operated by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

As Federale explained for us (CONFIRMED: Biden Regime CBP One Mobile Amnesty Is Just A Substitute For Illegal Entry),  the CBP One stratagem implemented by the Biden Mob is just a semantic subterfuge by which illegals are reclassified administratively to give them a de facto Amnesty without any color of law. It has no legislative basis.

…using CBP One to file asylum claims violates statutory language that prohibits using parole for refugees and run-of-the-mill immigrants.
Inside The Lawless Biden Regime Administrative AmnestyFederale Fifth Columnist, January 31, 2022

Maybe this is too technical for Lauren Villagren. But Economics 101 should have alerted her to the downside of the ululations of the Treason Lobby agents happily quoted:

”It’s a game changer,” said Kari Lenander, executive director of Border Servant Corps, the nonprofit hosting USCIS in its El Paso migrant logistics center…

Adam Isacson, who studies border security for the Washington Office on Latin America, called the program ”a great idea.”

(and the inevitable whiner):

”The administration has done a heroic job in increasing protections at ports of entry, but it’s still not enough,” said Aaron Reichlin-Melnick, policy director at the American Immigration Council.

Utterly and completely missing from this celebration is any thought about what this influx is doing to the incomes and living standards of American workers. As I said in NYC Mayor Adams Has Migrant Crisis “Solution”: Attack Living Standards Of N.Y. Working Class while letting these illegals work might make live easier for local pols:

It will do nothing to ease the stress caused by the presence of so many non-English-speaking consumers of social services, including education. And of course it will depress the wages of all unskilled and manual workers in the area.

In addition,

The influx of migrants, legal and illegal, is pushing up the demand for housing … This immivasion has been a bonanza for … landlords, and increasingly … for area’s employers of low-quality labor.

Statistical evidence of this is already emerging: Breitbart/Fitch Show Biden ’No Borders’ Policy Visibly Eroding US Real Wages.

So is the damage to health care: California Hospitals Slammed As Illegal Immigration Costs Soar, by Tyler Durden, ZeroHedge, January 2, 2024:

A health care worker at a hospital in Southern California, who asked not to be named for fear of losing her job … said

Patients often have their doctor’s appointments “pushed back,” to accommodate the medical needs of illegal migrants….

“They get in a lot quicker than our Veterans Affairs [VA] and retired military patients. They get in a lot faster, and they get the best care…“

Typically, VA patients usually wait months to be seen by a specialist while illegal migrants who just crossed the border are seen the same week, she said. [Emphasis in original]

Perhaps it is inevitable that Lauren Villagren, Kari Lenander, Adam Isacson, and Aaron Reichlin-Melnick have no empathy for the American Working Class.

But Where Is GOP?
