A Stapleton great-grandfather was in the 1920s Klan, and he hadn't previously denounced the Klan. Also, Stapleton has been endorsed by former Colorado congressman Tom Tancredo, who CBS called "a man who defended a white nationalist organization", by which they mean VDARE.com.
